Jennifer Gardner: “Kevin Costner has a quiet authority and is an excellent flirt” [Video]

In 2014, Jennifer Gardner was playing Kevin Costner love interest in Draft Day and admitted that the actor was her teenage crush ! She fell  “so hard” for the actor after seeing him in the 1988 movie: Bill Durham. In Draft Day, Kevin was portraying Sonny Weaver Jr, the general manager of the Cleveland Browns and Jennifer played Ali their lawyer. They shot the movie in Cleveland in 2013.

“I was so happy to work with Kevin Costner specially on sports movie because it is his sweet spot. He has this really quiet authority, he has this manly man feel but he is also an excellent flirt. He is exactly what you want your sport hero to be.”

Jennifer portrays a strong business woman who stays behind her man (Kevin in the movie) . And the actress (who divorced Ben Affleck last October) can totally relate to that. “They have these really strong jobs, they have to work together but they’re often in opposition with each other and ultimately she is going to have his back, but she is not not going to tell him what she thinks about something and I can definitely respect them as a couple”. Jennifer was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August 2018.

En 2014, Jennifer Gardner était la partenaire de Kevin Costner dans Draft Day. Elle révélait qu’elle en avait pince pur l’acteur lorsqu’elle était adolescente après l’avoir vu dans le film de 1988: Duo à trois . Dans Draft Day, Kevin joue Sonny Weaver Jr, le directeur général de l’équipe de football américain : les Cleveland Brown et Jennifer incarne elle Ali leur avocat. Ils ont tourné le film à Cleveland en 2013.

« J’étais tellement heureuse de travailler avec Kevin Costner particulièrement sur un film sur le sport parce que c’est ce qu’il préfère. Kevin dégage cette autorité très calme, il a aussi cette virilité, et c’est un excellent flirt ! Il a en plus toutes les qualités du héros sportif. » Jennifer joue elle une femme d’affaires forte qui sait s’effacer pour son compagnon (Kevin dans le film). Et l’actrice (qui a divorcé de Ben Affleck en octobre dernier) se disait à l’époque en totale osmose avec cela. “Ils ont tous les deux des positions très importantes, ils doivent travailler ensemble mais ils sont souvent en opposition l’un avec l’autre et finalement elle va l’épauler, mais cela ne l’empêche pas lui dire ce qu’elle pense. Et dans un couple je trouve cela très louable ». Jennifer a été honorée d’une étoile sur le Hollywood Walk of Fame en aout 2018.
